Position Summary
The
School of Dental Medicine is seeking a full time
Registered Dental Hygienist. UB Dental is a vital part of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. As a teaching facility, we offer our dental students the opportunity to work closely with patients of all ages. In addition, we are a safety net for the Buffalo-Niagara region, providing dental care for thousands of people each year throughout the community.
Job responsibilities include:
- Perform preventive and therapeutic treatment and instruction of General Dentistry patients in oral self-care techniques
- Deliver appropriate, efficient and effective patient-centered treatment on average of 6 to 10 patients per day
- Provide patient education
- Recognize the need for further professional consultation and possible referral
- Conduct administrative/operational tasks
- Instruct and demonstrate clinical procedures to students
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications
- NYS Registered Dental Hygienist
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
- Excellent communication skills, experience working with diverse populations
- Attention to detail
- At least five years of experience
- Experience with hybrids and implants
Physical Demands
Salary Range
$55,000 - $64,000
Special Instructions Summary
