Position Summary
The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) and its Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) represent a large NIH infrastructure grant to support clinical and translational research at the University at Buffalo (UB) and the Buffalo Translational Consortium (BTC) partner institutions under the leadership of the Director of the CTSI. The Team Science Specialist is a full-time professional position who will:
Play an active role in the integration of research, training and engagement initiatives within the CTSI Workforce Development Core by working with the core leadership, UB community and stakeholders.
Work with the Workforce Development Core leadership to develop and administer team science training modules.
Responsible for coordinating team science related activities including but not limited to CTSI-specific online training modules, seminars, workshops as well as outreach training modules and new courses when appropriate.
Track performance of team science programs and activities, contribute to reports and participate in the development and conduct of projects that evaluate team science programs and activities.
Attend and participate in CTSI staff meetings and make occasional trips related to CTSI activities.
Assist with data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation, progress report and grant submissions as needed.
Anticipate what needs to be done and initiate action towards that goal.
Assist with dissemination of findings to relevant communities.
Collaborate with CTSI cores and K12 Mentored Career Development Program team and assist with core activities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 1 year of experience in support of multiple programs/projects
- Computer skills including proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Box, Dropbox
- Demonstrated professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in health or healthcare related field or health sciences
- Experience with surveys, focus groups and interviews
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data
- Proficiency with telecommunication applications (Zoom or Microsoft Teams)
- Proficiency with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, Minitab, R, STATA, etc.)
Physical Demands
Salary Range
$48,000 - $59,000
