Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently recruiting for an A/V Project Coordinator. The Coordinator acts as primary consultant for audio visual projects on the Daytona Beach Campus. The position involves consulting with customers to understand project requirements, developing audio visual solutions, and project coordination for all aspects of assigned projects. The A/V Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating both internal and external resources and must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities include the following:
Lead the planning and implementation of audio visual projects for the Daytona Beach Campus, involving the following:
Meet with customers to understand audio visual needs
Define project scope and deliverables for audio visual projects
Plan and schedule project timelines, including the development of milestones and target dates, utilizing IT processes
Track project deliverables using IT tools
Coordinate project resources including IT staff, student employees, or vendors
Coordinate testing and quality assurance on all A/V project deliverables
Monitor and report on progress or the project to all stakeholders
Develop Request for Proposal (RFP) documents using standard templates
Provide cost estimates for planning
Provide consultation and guidance for IT staff as well as customers on A/V related questions or services.
Provide backup support for Event team when needed.
Education: Diploma or GED
Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of audio/visual systems. This includes, but is not limited to audio/visual control systems (i.e. Crestron, Extron), Video Conferencing, lighting, sound systems, and wiring.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
Ability to create line drawings for signal flow.
Demonstrated planning skills and a proven ability to manage multiple projects.

Maintain cooperative working relationships with University and other Campus Information Technology staff members.

Bachelor’s degree in technical or related field
Solid experience in higher education administrative and/or academic computing environment.
