The School of Dental Medicine seeks Research Dental Assistants for our UB Dental S-Miles To Go Program to provide dental care to vulnerable populations through two state-of-the-art mobile dental units. Our mobile vans increase access to critical oral health care services for children in rural communities, parents and children living on Buffalo's East Side, low-income older adults, homeless individuals and people with disabilities.

As a Research Dental Assistant, you will:
  • Serve as chair-side assistant to licensed dental practitioners, and dental students (pre-doctoral, post graduate and residents) in examination and treatment of patients in all phases of dentistry.
  • Obtain and replenish supplies, filing and setting up operatories for all necessary procedures.
  • Assist in regulatory compliance and keep abreast of new developments, techniques and materials as they come about, and insure adherence to proper infection control protocol.
