A Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree (NQF Level 8) in Applied Chemistry or an equivalent qualification with at least four (4) years of experience in managing an analytical laboratory and/or industry experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience as well as two ISO and/or technical training certificates in Applied Chemistry. Conversant with analytical laboratory accreditation and compliance processes, and traceable experience in spectrometric, separation and electroanalytical techniques. Demonstrate sound knowledge in good laboratory practice, data treatment and validation, and skills in basic equipment maintenance. Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written). Knowledge of ISO standards and skills in customer relationship management, as well as a Master’s degree, will be an advantage.
