The part-time Nurse Practitioner at Bryant University reports to the Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Director, as do two full-time Clinical Nurse Practitioners. The Health Services Department provides a variety of medical services to meet the social, emotional and physical needs of the Bryant University student body.
The part-time Nurse Practitioner provides specific medical care and treatment to students with acute conditions, injuries or illnesses, and treats stable long term conditions based on guidelines approved by the physician and generally accepted medical practices. She/he is responsible for assessing health, diagnosing illnesses and advising patients on maintaining good health.
The incumbent orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs. She/he records physical findings, formulates plan and prognosis based on the patient’s condition, and orders appropriate prescriptive medications or other forms of treatment. Additionally, the incumbent for this position assists with the daily management of Health Services.
This is a part-time position (2 days per week with some per diem hours, as needed) with limited benefits.
