    Position Summary


    The University at Buffalo, a distinguished public research institution and the State University of New Yorks flagship university, is seeking two talented and motivated Application Developer Analysts to join the Enterprise Application Services unit. As an integral member of one of Western New Yorks largest and most innovative IT organizations, the Application Developer Analyst will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions for enterprise applications. These are campus-based positions with the possibility of hybrid work.


    Responsibilities Include:

    Software Development:



      • Design, develop, test, and maintain application software for UBs enterprise systems.

      • Document software specifications to ensure clarity and maintainability.



     


    Collaboration in Agile Environment:


    • Work collaboratively with team members and customers in an Agile environment, fostering effective communication and iterative development.


    Customer Interaction:


    • Work directly with customers to develop specifications, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements.

    • Engage with end-users to gather feedback and address user needs.


    Quality Assurance:


    • Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

    • Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure the reliability and efficiency of developed applications.


    Web Development Techniques:


    • Understand and utilize contemporary web development tools and techniques to create scalable and secure solutions.


    Technology Adoption and Innovation:


    • Stay informed about new technologies, tools, and industry trends.

    • Identify and implement opportunities to improve enterprise IT services through the integration of innovative solutions.

    Minimum Qualifications



    • Bachelors degree with 3 years of experience in the Information Systems field (includes internships and relevant projects) or a Masters Degree with 1 year of experience in the Information Systems field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

    • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without visa sponsorship.




    Preferred Qualifications



    • A degree in a technical field

    • Experience with one or more contemporary programming languages, such as Angular, JavaScript, Java or Python.

    • Experience with Structured Query Language.

    $73,000 - $82,000
