JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The position will support integration of generative AI insights into an intuitive, interactive web-based user interface. The role will enable real-time, collaborative functionality that connects user input with AI-generated content, a core component of the project's broader impact and usability goals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement real-time, multi-user web interface for collaborative interaction


• Integrate dynamic AI-generated content into the user interface using REST APIs


• Build interactive visual components (e.g., pill-shaped tags) that are responsive to user input and AI suggestions


• Ensure seamless communication between frontend and backend systems, with attention to responsiveness and usability


• Use canvas or SVG rendering libraries to support drag, drop, and annotation features in a shared visual space


• Develop client-side logic for tracking user interactions and syncing shared state across sessions


• Collaborate with generative AI team to refine how model outputs are realized and experienced by end users

SKILLS

• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript


• Experience with React.js, Vue.js, or other modern front-end frameworks


• Familiarity with WebSockets, Socket.IO, or other real-time interaction tools


• Knowledge of Canvas, SVG, or libraries like Fabric.js or Konva.js for interactive rendering


• Comfort styling interfaces using Tailwind CSS or other responsive UI frameworks


• Ability to consume and integrate REST APIs or GraphQL endpoints


• Basic understanding of user experience design and interaction patterns in collaborative tools

EXPERIENCE

• At least one, ideally multiple, projects involving real-time or collaborative web interfaces


• Prior work integrating backend or AI-generated content into front-end experiences


• Experience building interactive visual elements or custom UI components from scratch


• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and remote, asynchronous collaboration workflows

• Open to collaboration with and feedback from researchers, designers, and AI engineers
