    Position Summary


    Join a dynamic team and use your creativity to make meaningful connections. As the Community Relations Associate, youll help promote the services of UB Parking and Transportation Services through strategic communication, marketing and public engagement. You will lead outreach around key initiatives such as parking policy updates, shuttle enhancements, construction impacts and sustainability programs. Through compelling content and inclusive engagement, youll help shape a positive, transparent image for the department, while advancing our mission to connect the UB community to campus and community.

    Key Responsibilities:


    • Serve as the departments liaison to students, employees, the community and external partners, coordinating outreach through presentations, events and feedback-driven initiatives.

    • Lead inclusive marketing, public communications and service updates across print, digital and social media platforms.

    • Promote sustainable transportation and department policies through accessible messaging and collaboration with UB departments and external agencies.

    • Monitor customer trends and support initiatives such as Lyft and Uber.

    • Contribute as a member of the social media outreach team and serve on related committees, including as a divisional communication steward.

    • Manage transit advertising and assist the campus community on related materials.

    • Respond to customer inquiries and relay insights to support parking and mobility service improvements.

    Minimum Qualifications



    • Bachelors degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Administration, Urban Studies or a related field.

    • A minimum of one year of experience in the area of communications, marketing or a related field.


    Combination of education and experience may be considered.

    Preferred Qualifications



    • Developed marketing and PR campaigns with innovative messaging across print, infographics, social media, video and more.

    • Ability to communicate with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff and campus visitors.

    • Familiarity with public engagement tools and inclusive communication practices.

    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

    • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.



    Physical Demands


    Salary Range
    $54,000 - $57,000
