  • Strategic Implementation Partner
    Sponsored Research Administration

    Sponsored Projects Services (SPS) is seeking a Strategic Implementation Partner who will play a critical role in executing a wide range of projects and initiatives within the University’s research division. This role will be responsible for implementing key projects that align with the goals and objectives of the Associate Vice President for Research Administration (AVP) office. This role also will take direction from and provide regular updates to the AVP, while collaborating with leadership and various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, from planning through to completion, with a focus on achieving impactful outcomes across multiple initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:


    • Project Implementation: Lead the execution of diverse strategic projects, ensuring alignment with the AVP’s vision and objectives. When applicable, collaborate with the project manager to monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure milestones are met.

    • Partnership and Communication: Serve as a strategic partner to the AVP, taking guidance on project priorities and strategies, and providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and achievements.

    • Cross-Functional Coordination: Engage with internal and external stakeholders across the university to facilitate effective implementation of projects, ensuring clear communication and fostering engagement throughout the process.

    • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with faculty, administrative staff, and other key partners to support the successful adoption and integration of strategic initiatives.

    • Problem Solving: Identify and address operational or logistical challenges that may arise during project implementation, working closely with the project manager to develop solutions and ensure project success.

    • Reporting and Monitoring: Partner with the project manager to track project progress and provide regular updates to the AVP and leadership team. Adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

    • Strategic Support: Contribute to the planning and development of new strategic initiatives, offering insights and recommendations to support the research division’s goals.
