  • Assistant Director, Cyber Security Program Manager

    Position Summary


    The Assistant Director, Cyber Security Program Manager will be responsible for significant aspects of the security program, which includes complex logistics, security awareness efforts and documentation requirements. The focus of this position is to ensure that the information/cyber security program is running in a consistent, professional and progressive manner, which requires much documentation, logistical coordination and follow-up.

    In this position you will:


    • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity program aligned with organizational goals.

    • Ensure the cybersecurity program complies with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., GLBAHIPAANIST).

    • Support risk management efforts and document identified gaps, remediation plans and acceptance criteria.

    • Manage the lifecycle of cybersecurity projects from initiation through execution and closure.

    • Work with cross-functional teams including IT, legal, compliance, and operations to implement security initiatives.

    • Ensure proper deployment and management of cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPSSIEM systems).

    Minimum Qualifications



    • Bachelor’s degree cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field with 5 years of experience in information security principles OR master’s degree with 3 years of experience information security principles. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

    • Familiarity with frameworks like NISTISO/IEC 27001, or CIS.

    • Experience in managing projects, timelines and cross-functional teams.

    • Experience with compliance frameworks such as HIPAAGLBA, and CMMC.

    • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.


     


    Preferred Qualifications



    • Security certifications, such as: CISSPGIAC, Security+, etc.

    • Project Management certifications such as: PMPCSM, etc.

    • Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, encryption tools, and vulnerability management tools.
