JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Projects generally fall into two categories:
1) Fermentation development experiments to improve the yield and quality of the production of single strand DNA and protein, among other potential products
2) Generation of contracted materials via fermentation following standard operating procedures and batch record

More specifically, tasks may include:
1) Developing aseptic technique to propagate and grow cultures from initial inoculation through 100 L fermentation production system
2) Monitoring and recording of data collected from active fermentation
3) Operation of benchtop equipment and instruments, such as centrifuges, cell counters filtration, chromatography, microscopes, spectrometers, etc.
