JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Assist with managing, maintaining, and operating machines and equipment in the Makerspace and associated labs. Support operational transitions, training, and development of new student staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties Include:

• Assist with the operational set up of new machines and tools in the Makerspace, Prototyping Lab, and UH Lab.
  
  


• Maintain and perform regular preventative maintenance on Prototyping Lab FDM printers.
  
  


• Support operational transitions, training, and development of new student staff.
  
  


• Liaise with the company's technical support team for complex issues and provide updates.
  
  


• Develop and maintain documentation for fixing common machine errors for new machines.
  
  


• Design and prototype components for lab improvements.
  
  


• Contribute to the lab's mission of continuous improvement.
  
  

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one-year experience working with and fixing FDM technology 3D printers.
  
  o Preferred experience with Bambu Labs and Lulzbot printers.
  
  

Proficiency in solid modeling software (Solidworks, Fusion360, etc.)
