    Student Intern, Marketing Copywriter

    Job Description Summary:
    The Office of College Relations & Marketing is looking for a current ACC student passionate about writing and marketing. This position will help write engaging copy and content for marketing campaigns, print & digital ads, web pages, marketing materials, and additional assets that meet Austin Community College brand standards, while providing your unique creative input and voice to each project.

    Job Description:

    Note: You must be a current ACC student to apply for this student intern position.

    Description of Duties and Tasks



    • Assist in content development and copywriting for marketing collateral, including print ads, digital ads, posters, flyers, brochures, and digital signage.

    • Provide copy edits for existing content and collateral.

    • Support the outlining and SEO writing of web and digital assets for campaign landing pages and paid search ads.

    • Ensure published content is accurate, detailed, and consistent with the brand voice across various touch points.

    • Conducts research and data collection to help identify effective messages and channels.




    Knowledge



    • Apply principles and practices of copywriting and content writing.

    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of persuasive writing, particularly for multicultural audiences.

    • Show familiarity with and interest in search engine optimization (SEO) and SEO writing for the web.




    Skills



    • Follow ACC official brand standards while providing fresh perspectives on reaching and connecting with students.

    • Work independently and within a team to meet established deadlines.

    • Detail-oriented with an excellent grasp of grammar and rhetoric.

    • Passionate and eager to learn, with proactive energy for accomplishing tasks.




    Technology Skills



    • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

    • Interest in content writing optimization (SEMRush, OpenAI)




    Additional Skills



    • Proficiency in Spanish is an added bonus.




    Required Work Experience



    • Pursuing an Associate degree or certificate in advertising, creative writing, communications, marketing, or related area from Austin Community College or equivalent experience.

    • One year of marketing or communications experience




    Physical Requirements



    • Work is routinely performed in a standard office or similar environment.

    • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.




    Location: Highland Campus / hybrid

    Work: 10-15 hours a week, Monday - Friday.

    Pay Rate

    $22.00 per hour
