    Position Summary


    The Division of Student Life is accepting applications for Associate Director for Outreach and Support position within Accessibility Resources. In this role, you will to work to establish and promote equitable physical, social, and virtual engagement with curriculum and campus activities for UB students with disabilities.

    Your duties include:


    • Collaborate with campus partners to address accessibility barriers through design, academic accommodations, support, connection, and community.

    • Create and implement programs and services that celebrate disability as part of the diversity which contributes to excellence and innovation

    • Cultivate and advance efforts in the areas of student support, programing and community building for students with disabilities

    • Assess current programs and services through data collection and reporting; continually improve offerings to enhance the student experience

    • Meet with students in group settings and 1-on-1 to develop their skills for navigating and working around barriers; assess their need for accommodations

    • Perform grant writing, oversee a program budget, and coordinate the scholarship process

    • Supervise designated staff


    The successful incumbent will be skilled in working in a highly collaborative team-based environment.

    Minimum Qualifications



    • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience or master’s degree or professional certification with 1 year of experience

    • Experience creating and supporting programming initiatives

    • Experience organizing disability identity and culture events and programs

    • Demonstrated Experience working with individuals with disabilities

    • Proven experience working with diverse populations and implementing successful programs and events

    • Highly developed interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate multicultural competency.
