  • Veterinary Technician Community Practice (Job #S51)

    Position: Veterinary Technician Community Practice                                                        Department: Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital

    Status: Full-time

    Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

    Triaging patients, assisting students and clinicians with physical examinations
    Assisting with taking patient history
    Assisting with diagnostic procedures
    Assisting with patient restraint
    Assisting with the administration of 1M, SQ, IV and PO medications  Maintain examination rooms between patients
    Restock examination rooms with appropriate supplies.


    Associate degree or higher in veterinary technology from an accredited school.
    At least 2 or more years of experience working for a veterinarian  Proficient computer skills
    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
    Ability to work independently, strong work ethic
    Ability to lift at least 501bs. Possess manual dexterity

    Commensurate with education, training and experience
