    Job Summary
    The Auburn University Office of Information Technology is seeking applicants for an Information Technology Systems Engineer. Under general direction and supervision, the successful candidate will serve as a Microsoft 365 technical resource for Auburn University’s M365 Environment. The M365 Engineer will provide technical expertise for the full suite of M365 products and solutions including, but not limited to: Exchange, AAD, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and Intune.

    Essential Functions
    1. Performs and coordinates the administration and maintenance of Microsoft 365 including: Exchange, AAD, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Intune 2. Provides technical design, implementation, and support of Microsoft 365 services 3. Is accountable for the security and reliability of Exchange Online and Office 365 systems and services 4. Manages user identities, roles, access and authentication 5. Collaborates with counterparts to design and develop procedures, configurations, complex workflows, and integrated systems. Documents and deploys systems and their integration points. Creates test plans and performs system testing. 6. Creates, evaluates, and recommends plans for the implementation of new technology deployments and system integration testing. 7. May provide on-call support for designated systems and services. 8. Requires excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. 9. Requires independent problem solving with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills 10. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems as well as effectively communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
