    The University of San Francisco (USF) is looking to fill a part-time temporary Simulation
    Technician position within the School of Nursing & Education. This role is for USF's Sacramento Branch Campus.

    [b]Full Job Description:[/b]

    [b][u]Job Responsibilities[/u][/b]

    [*] Serve as a technical expert who is able to set up, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and in some cases repair simulation equipment including high and low fidelity mannequins and other similar equipment, hospital-type equipment used in simulation activities, and AV/IT equipment used in simulation activities.

    [*] Instruct and assist simulation educators/facu lty and learners in the use of technical equipment used in simulation.

    [*] Assist in operational activities such as staff and maintenance scheduling, and inventory/purchasing functions.

    [*] Familiar with the various moda lities of simulation education and has a good grasp of simulation educational principles

    [*] Assist in the development, setu p, and delivery, and takedown of simulation education sessions.
    [*] Assist in project planning, staff on boarding, and commissioning activities as required

    [b][u]Minimum Requirements[/u][/b]

    [*] Bachelor's Degree or Associate degree in healthcare related field or equivalent work experience preferred.

    [*] 2+ years' experience as a technician in a simulation centre including experience in maintaining an equipment inventory and maintenance schedule.

    [*] Demonstrated ability to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot simulation, hospital, and IT/AV equipment and software used in a clinical education environment

    [*] Ability to communicate technical information to non- technical audiences

    [*] Demonstrated adaptability and resourcefulness

    [*] Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    [*] Ability to acquire new skills and learn new procedures

    [*] Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
    [*] Fluency in written and spoken English.

    [*] Ability to autonomously control the phy siological parameters of a patient simulator in a realistic manner

    [*] Awareness of l atest simulation technological developments and products in simulation

    [*] Demonstrated understanding of curriculum development

    [*] Familiarity with Clinical Information Systems.

    [*] Flexibility with your schedule as this role will be part time estimated at 20 hours/week, the department is in need of someone with open availability during the week dependent on the School of Nursing's needs and programs.
