The College of Environmental Design (CED) operates three academic departments - Architecture, City and Regional Planning, and Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning - conferring both undergraduate and graduate degrees. CED has approximately 50 full-time and 35 part-time teaching faculty, approximately 50 career staff, and over 1,000 students. The operations of the College are financed with state funds, gifts and endowments, professional master's level program revenue, and other revenue sources in an amount roughly totaling $18,000,000 annually.
As the Prizes & Awards Coordinator for the College of Environmental Design, this position exercises limited discretion and professional judgment in planning, administering, and implementing a well-defined or established fundraising program:
- Handles special projects/assignments involving direct interaction with alumni volunteers and donors. Works closely and strategically with the College and University Development and Alumni Relations staff on stewardship and solicitation of prizes and awards donors.; College departments, CED student services and CED financial units.
- Working knowledge of fundraising, donor relations and public relations concepts, principles, procedures and techniques. Working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, et cetera. Good written and interpersonal communication skills, including tact and political acumen to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the campus and with external constituencies. Good organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to work with highly sensitive, confidential information. Ability to work in teams and under own initiative. Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and to meet deadlines efficiently. Applicable computer skills including basic HTML and Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of the campus, its vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievements and infrastructure. Thorough knowledge of common campus-specific and other computer application programs including CADS, CalAnswers, Microsoft Office, SIS systems etc. Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Hourly salary: $33.00 - $37.00, commensurate with experience.
