The Office of Career Services (OCS) at The Fletcher School helps students build critical career preparation skills, define their goals and connect with employment opportunities. The office provides services to graduate students and alumni.
The Assistant Director, Career Services provides guidance and insights to a diverse U.S./international graduate student body on career paths, job skills needed, job search strategizing, networking, application/resume review and interview preparation. This person will deliver services in both one-on-one and group settings.
This position is responsible for:
1. Providing career development and job search coaching to all Fletcher students in one-to-one meetings, drop-in sessions and via email; Some job search coaching to alumni
2. Managing/designing/updating/teaching the Professional Development Program (PDP), the career development course required for graduation and teaching 2 sections annually
3. Offering workshops on the job search process and sector-specific programming
4. Conducting employer outreach to organizations in assigned/designated sectors and relationship management with existing and new employers. This includes recruiting organizations to participate in two major career events
5. Other duties as assigned
