The Department Coordinator in the Department of Rehabilitation Science, School of Public Health and Health Professions (SPHHP) at the University at Buffalo (UB) will assist in both state and research expenditure projections, task assignment and determination of appropriate funding and account numbers. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Directors by preparing purchase requisitions, investigating products and vendors in their sponsored projects. Additional tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor account balances and advise project directors, the Assistant to the Chair or the Chair of appropriate proactive actions
- Project Income Fund Reimbursable (IFR) annually and reconcile actual receipts against those projections
- Assist in monitoring and updating existing approved student fees and preparation of new ones.
- Prepare budget revisions, revenue transfers and Interdepartmental Invoices (IDI)
- Work directly with the Chair and the Assistant to the Chair with support activities related to faculty and staff new and continuing appointments
- Provide high level professional support to the Department Chair and department faculty and staff.
The Department Coordinator should have a strong attention to detail, superior organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and effectively communicate and function as a member of a team.
