The Administrative Assistant supports the work of the Division of University Advancement, and collaborates with other divisional and university staff to increase private support.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing various administrative duties, frequently of a complex and confidential nature. The incumbent will support the assigned advancement team in achieving their fundraising goals. Work is mostly independent with unusual situations referred to others. In this position, you will:
- manage the university’s relationship with donors and prospects in a professional and proactive manner
- cultivate solid, working relationships with colleagues within the assigned unit and other university-wide departments and offices, which may include deans and their staffs; colleagues within University Advancement
- provide support needed for internal/external meeting and event planning including event logistics and managing the alumni database for generating reports and invitation lists
- provide support in development of briefing materials, proposals, correspondence and other documents as necessary and requested to support the work of gift officers
