Position Summary:

The University of Idaho is accepting applications for position of Director of Financial Aid. As the University of Idaho's chief financial aid officer, the Director of Financial Aid reports to the Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment Management and will provide leadership and strategic direction to the university regarding innovative student financial aid programs. The Director will provide leadership and supervision to the Office of Student Financial Aid. Responsibilities include serving all students to provide a contemporary financial aid program, participating as a member of the Strategic Enrollment Management team, providing strategic oversight of all financial aid programs, assisting in the development of new scholarship programs, maintaining an effective financial literacy program, ensuring compliance with all regulations, implementing and evaluating financial aid programs to recruit and retain our students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters degree
Seven (7) or more years of experience in a leadership position within Financial Aid.
Experience in the use of student information systems and data analysis to maximize financial aid programs.
Knowledge of all financial aid regulations at a management level.
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
Experience in making presentations to groups and demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of constituents.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral degree
Experience as a director of financial aid at a large institution.
