Primary Function
This individual performs a variety of functions that include maintaining records and supporting processes related to administrative, budgeting, and Human Resource functions. Related to these functions, the individual will support tasks that are of critical assistance to the Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness (IE), the IE Projects Coordinator, and the units that report to the Vice Provost i.e., Accreditation, Assessment and Evaluation, and Institutional Research. Functionally, this individual is responsible for the smooth daily operation and maintenance of the office of Institutional Effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities (generally)

Minimum Required Qualifications for this position

Education and Experience Preferred
Beginning to Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Power point.

  • Good analytical skills and ability to critically think about operational processes and ways to improve upon those processes

  • Ability to work independently; take responsibility for coordinating activities in advance of deadlines, particularly where other parties are concerned; and take a comprehensive approach to large-scale projects
  • Ability to work at a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with all types of university employees and outside constituents
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to process confidential material in a professional manner
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work while supporting multiple administrators within IE
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing needs or circumstances
  • Proficient in computer skills including MS Office programs
  • Ability to supervise student workers and extra help employees, if needed
