The University at Buffalo School of Law Office of Admissions invites applications for the position of Admissions Recruitment Coordinator. In this fast-paced admissions environment, the Admissions Recruitment Coordinator will serve as an integral member of the School of Law’s motivated admissions team.
You’ll tackle a broad range of administrative functions, including:
Counseling prospective students regarding the law school application process.
Representing the School of Law at recruitment fairs, law forums, panels, and other events.
Reading applications and making recommendations on admissibility of JD candidates.
Developing and implementing a social media strategy for the Office of Admissions.
Managing email marketing campaigns, utilizing the national prospect pool available through the admissions database.
Assisting in the identification of potential sources and implementation of targeted events to build a diverse student pipeline.
Leading the overall planning and execution of yield events for underrepresented students of color.
The Coordinator will also manage the Office of Admissions general email account, contribute to the Admissions blog, and work with the School of Law Communications team in the design of print and electronic publications for recruitment and marketing purposes.

Bachelor’s degree required. 1-2 years of related experience in a relevant setting. Strong project management and organizational skills, including ability to set priorities, manage simultaneous projects, and meet deadlines; Self-starter with ability to take initiative with minimal supervision, work independently and seek guidance when appropriate; Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at various levels; Strong commitment to customer service, diversity, and collaboration; Ability to work occasional weekends, as well as early mornings and evenings to represent the Office of Admissions at special events. A valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle is required or candidate must otherwise demonstrate his/her capacity to meet the transportation requirements of the position.
JD degree preferred. Secondary language skills preferred. Experience in admissions for a higher education institution, particularly graduate or law student-related recruitment, preferred. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications required.
Salary Range $42,000 – 45,000
