Overview
Collectively, the faculty in the Department of Molecular Biology and Microbiology (MBM) address problems related to the genetics and molecular functions of microorganisms that are relevant to infection and health world-wide. Just as importantly, we strive to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for our faculty, students, postdoctoral trainees, and staff.
This is a part time position working 20 hours a week. The schedule is flexible and hybrid, Monday through Friday.
What You'll Do
- Under general supervision, provides advanced support and coordination for research projects in the Department of Molecular Biology and Microbiology.
- Produces a variety of project documents, reports, or literature.
- Responds to a variety of inquiries related to the project, responding to a broad range of issues and providing relevant information to faculty, staff, students and other constituents.
- Organizes and maintains project files and databases. Updates data and tracks project information.
- Monitors budgets, executes financial transactions, tracks expenditures, and prepares reports.
- Coordinates project marketing and promotional efforts. Arranges logistics for meetings, special events, assisting with planning, determining venue and coordinating production of promotional and presentation materials.
- Conducts internet research and gather information and data draft reports on results
- May provide guidance and work direction to student and temporary workers and assist in training other support staff.
- Supports investigators by uploading prepared materials and provides review based on application guidelines.
Basic Requirements:
- Required education: B.A. or B.S.
- 1-3 years of administrative, customer service, or related experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
- Excellent organizational and detail oriented.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
Pay Range
Minimum $26.40, Midpoint $31.40, Maximum $36.40
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
