Job Summary
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University is seeking a Coordinator of General Chemistry to start approximately November 1st, 2020. This is a continuing 12-month administrative position.

Essential Functions
The Lab Coordinator will be in charge of overseeing all aspects of the undergraduate general chemistry labs. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: supervising a lab technician; training instructors; selecting and scheduling experiments; preparing lab procedures; selection or development of online/virtual labs; and ensuring lab safety rules are followed. The Lab Coordinator will also be expected to continuously improve the quality and content of the labs to enhance the learning experience for students. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to teaching, enforcing lab safety, and working with a diverse student population.
