As the Customer Service Manager you are responsible for supervising the daily activities of the Customer Service staff. You will provide positive reinforcement and recommendations to increase efficiency with the department. As the manager, you will set the tone for customer service empower the staff to effectively service internal and external customers. You will also serve as a liaison between customer service and the supervisors of Trades, Custodial and Utility shops. In this role you will also initiate the hiring process to fill vacant positions and ensure job descriptions remain current.
Tasks and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Provide oversight of staff including scheduling, task assignment, performance evaluations, and training.
- Generate and interpret written and oral reports for the purpose of making business decisions.
- Review and process campus-wide notifications.
- Investigate customer complaints to develop a plan for process improvements.
- Administer the Facilities uniform program, including scheduling fittings, processing orders, and solving issues.

Bachelor’s degree with two years of work experience, one of which is in a supervisory or administrative role.
Must posses and demonstrate advanced written and oral communication skills, and the ability to establish and manage complex work schedules for employees.
The candidate must possess and have proven positive customer service skills, and be able to interact in a professional manner with various groups on campus.
Two or more years experience working in a supervisory role in Customer Service or closely related field.
Experience working in a college or university setting.
The ideal candidate will be someone that is dependable, people-oriented, flexible with work tasks, detail-oriented, and is able to work with little supervision after being properly trained. The Customer Service manager should be an individual that strives to build teamwork, and has a strong desire to coach employees to succeed.
