Job Description

The Art Harper Saturday Academy is a multi-year program designed to inspire and prepare high school students to pursue post-secondary education and careers in STEM related fields. The Saturday Academy will outreach to high school students who otherwise may not have considered a career in the STEM or related field but display the potential to master the subject areas required to excel in the field.

 

The core elements of the Academy will be a math course, project design course, and workshops that will teach the foundational concepts of these subjects needed to succeed at the collegiate level. In addition, the students will receive academic support to improve their high school mathematics skills, exposure to STEM fields, and opportunities for practical applications of their academic skills.

 

POSITIONS Mathematics Instructor

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics or related field

· Prior teaching experience required with preference given to those who have experience developing a math curriculum for high school students

· Strong verbal communication and presentation skills

· Part-Time: 2-5 hours for 10 Saturdays during the academic year
