The University at Buffalo (UB) invites inquiries, nominations and applications for the position of Academic Specialist within Student Support Services (SSS).
Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally-funded TRIO grant program and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. Student Support Services serves low-income, first-generation students and/or students with documented disabilities. The Academic Specialist is responsible for providing and designing the delivery of many forms of advisement to students such as informational advisement, proactive advisement, appreciative advisement, and academic coaching services. The Academic Specialist occasionally must be available to assist SSS program staff in accompanying students during off campus visits.
