The Department of Biochemistry is hiring a Research Technician II to work in the Lombardo Lab. The Lombardo lab is a newly established laboratory using a diversity of technologies to understand the fundamental mechanisms of cell polarity in eucaryotic cells.

The incumbent will
  • provide general laboratory support, and participate in specific research projects involving media preparation, tissue culture, molecular biology, cell transfection, high resolution light microscopy, protein purification and characterization.
  • Other support activities include media and solution preparation, and removal of hazardous and biological waste.
  • Assist other lab members with tasks as needed.

This is position is renewable on an annual basis.
