Overview
The Provost is the chief academic officer of the university, overseeing eight schools as well as multiple cross-school programs. The Provost is responsible for setting and guiding institutional and budgetary priorities that advance the university’s academic mission. Together with deans and senior administrators, the Provost directs and supports the partnerships and collaborations of schools on four Massachusetts campuses and an international center in Talloires, France. This team of academic leaders ensures that the university’s educational and research programs are of the highest quality by working closely with faculty, staff, alumni, and students to fulfill the university’s goals and aspirations.
What You'll Do
The Communications Coordinator provides advanced level support in promoting effective communications across the department, school or division. The Coordinator assists in the development of print materials and messaging including proofreading, editing and drafting communications materials. They assist in the design and layout of publications and coordinates publicity materials, advertising and public relations for events. In addition, the Coordinator assists in creating, monitoring and updating website, drafts social media posts and monitors activity and triages or refers media inquiries to appropriate party. The Communications Coordinator also assists with special projects and provides general administrative support as necessary.
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and experience as typically acquired by:
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience
- Must possess advanced writing, proof reading and editing skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Exhibit leadership skills
- Familiarity with WordPress and Drupal CMS’s
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, SharePoint and Microsoft forms
- Zoom proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing marketing and communications materials, including print, web, digital and social media
