The Service & Repair Mechanic (HVAC-R) is responsible for journey-level work in the operation, repair and installation of HVAC equipment. This includes working with a building’s air handling systems, stand-alone roof package units and individual units. This position must have the ability to: diagnose, troubleshoot and provide preventative maintenance for HVAC equipment. This position may require traveling on the campus and between campuses.
This position may be expected to guide and direct other maintenance staff, including skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers in servicing and repairing heating and refrigeration/air-conditioning equipment.
