The Provost is the chief academic officer of the university, overseeing eight schools as well as multiple cross-school programs. The Provost is responsible for setting and guiding institutional and budgetary priorities that advance the university's academic mission. Together with deans and senior administrators, the Provost directs and supports the partnerships and collaborations of schools on four Massachusetts campuses and an international center in Talloires, France. This team of academic leaders ensures that the university's educational and research programs are of the highest quality by working closely with faculty, staff, alumni, and students to fulfill the university's goals and aspirations.



What You'll Do

The Executive Assistant provides advanced administrative support and communications for the department, supports the work of the Provost by carrying out complex executive administrative duties which include: managing and prioritizing a high volume of meeting requests on a very complicated, executive-level calendar assisting the Provost in managing and prioritizing communications with internal and external constituencies organizing and planning logistics of meetings, editing, proofreading, and composing correspondence and reports participating in or leading assigned projects and organizing and planning travel arrangements, as relevant. Oversee daily operation of office, evaluating workflow and productivity and providing direction and guidance as required. Produces and drafts reports and other complex documents and materials, including proofreading and editing. Other duties as assigned.


What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 -7 years of related experience.
  • Superior written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and data.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including word processing, editing and graphics functions, spreadsheet, and database knowledge.
  • In addition, bookkeeping or basic accounting knowledge and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a university is desirable
