Coordinator of Alcohol and Drug Education Services

Western New England University is seeking applicants for the position of Coordinator of Alcohol and Drug Education Services. This person will provide alcohol/drug assessments, treatment, and/or referrals for students using evidence-based practices including BASICS and Motivational Interviewing. Additionally, the Coordinator will collaborate with other campus constituencies to provide campus-wide educational programming, and will periodically coordinate the administration of the CORE Survey. Given the nature of this position, strong interpersonal and collaborative skills are a necessity.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in counseling or related mental health field plus knowledge of late adolescent/early adult developmental issues. Must possess license or certificate in addiction counseling and/or alcohol and other drug counseling, or licensure in a mental health related field with a well-defined specialty in AOD counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Previous AOD related experience in a university/college setting and two or more years of post-graduate, supervised counseling experience is preferred. This is a full-time academic year position.
