Analyst, IT ERP Security

Job Description Summary:
Responsible for documenting ACC’s Student Information System (SIS), Human Capital Management (HCM) and Finance current and future security and access models and configurations. Act as strategic ERP Security Analyst and liaison between IT and the rest of the college defining and translating demands to ERP access requirements. Serves as an ERP documentation, integration, and access specialist and manages the day-to-day access requests and needs of the College.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks

1) Manages day-to-day operations for ACC’s Colleague and Workday ERP systems and fulfills access requests to both ACC’s legacy and post-modern ERPs.
2) Conducts routine security reviews to ensure that the security setup, user logon validity, and application usage for ERP systems is in compliance with ACC policies and guidelines, and local, state, and federal regulations.
3) Administers ACC’s Colleague and Workday security modules, providing courtesy access to outside users as well as supplementing access for existing users.
4) Provides routine support for troubleshooting users, application, and data access issues.
5) Assists with the implementation of security audits and system vulnerability tests with outside vendors.
6) Assists in development, implementation, and review of IT systems user access rules to balance security needs with ease of use in accordance with job-related requirements and ACC security policy and guidelines.
7) Proactively assesses potential items of risk and opportunities of vulnerability in the network and reports to IT management..
8) Assists with the conducting of periodic audits of internal data security controls to validate effectiveness, identify risks, and promote continuous improvement.
9) Assists in advising management and users regarding security procedures.

Knowledge

  • Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices.
  • Understanding of current, advanced data security standards and protocol.
  • Technical support processes and protocol.
  • IT quality control processes.
  • System and application software and hardware.

Skills

  • Maintaining an established work schedule and provide on-call assistance, including nights and weekends.
  • Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.
  • Effectively using organizational and planning skills, including attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Effectively keeping up with administrative system security demands.
  • Conducting research, analysis, audits, and quality assurance in relation to administrative application security.
  • Tracking, troubleshooting, and resolving user problems.
  • Efficiently meeting deadlines, schedules, and target dates.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Technology Skills

  • Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software with emphasis on statistical charts, tables, and graphs.

Required Experience

  • Two years related work experience.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

Salary Range $61,027 – $87,180

Full-time faculty and staffing table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the college are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, retirement plans and AD&D.

ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty and Administrators Only). Part-time and Hourly employees participate in the ACC Money Purchase Plan (ACCMPP) as a retirement program required by federal law.
