Position Summary
The UB Microbiome Center is seeking a dental hygienist to support clinical dental research studies. The position will be available starting August 1st 2022.
The position duties include:
Performing examinations and obtaining clinical data and samples as outlined in IRB-approved clinical protocols.
Performing treatment procedures such as prophylaxes and scaling and root planning as required by study protocols.
Assist with participant recruitment and scheduling of visits.
Assist the Principal Investigator with IRB protocol management.
Other administrative responsibilities including ordering of supplies, payment of participants, and other office management duties.

Minimum Qualifications
4 years of progressive experience with a demonstrated working knowledge of research procedures
Graduation from an accredited dental hygienist program.
License to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the State of New York.
Certification as a Dental Hygienist by the National Board of Dental Hygiene.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in clinical research studies.
Experience working with word, excel, outlook and electronic dental records system.
Certification in phlebotomy.
