This is a limited term position for 1 year.
The University Infection Control department provides the strategic vision to build and sustain a university-wide infection prevention health program and supports harmonization of health and safety policies across all schools by working with relevant committee. In addition, the department directs and completes assessment of levels of health and safety infection risk within the university environment.
Assists Director in implementing the university’s COVID-19 vaccination plan, supervising Tufts COVID-19 vaccine corps in the successful vaccination of Tufts students, faculty, and staff. Responds to queries about COVID-19 vaccination side effects/adverse effects and prioritizes individuals within the plan. Supervises and assists in administering vaccine. Provides training and oversight of documentation and reporting of vaccination records to the state and for internal audit purposes.
Supervises and assists in the administration of immunizations of Tufts students, faculty and staff and the larger community in accordance with the university’s COVID-19 vaccination plan.
Maintains and oversees accurate clinical records, utilizing approved medical, nursing and statistical formats, including computer technology.
Provides answers to questions posed to COVID-19 and influenza help line and refers interested parties to appropriate resources.
Trains and oversees the accurate documentation of vaccination records. Generates reports of vaccination records to the state and for internal audit purposes.
Ensures a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity to inquiries and access to personal medical records and information.
Participates in audits of other vaccination programs including the Grafton campus rabies vaccination program.
Assists with the development of occupational health and safety policies under the supervision of the Director such as chemical safety and emergency response for researchers working with infectious agents.
