Flight Media Specialist – (190738)
The Flight Training Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Flight Media Specilist at our Daytona Beach Campus. This position is responsible for producing multimedia content that will modernize and enhance current flight training support material. The position will utilize instructional design methodology applicable to flight training. The Flight Media Specialist will possess in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the video production process, including pre-production, production, and post-production. This encompasses script writing/editing, storyboarding, scheduling and coordinating talent, location scouting, camera operation, lighting setup, audio recording, video and sound processing, and non-linear editing. Some motion graphics experience necessary. Applicant should be very familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom.
The Flight Media Specialist will also be responsible for creating materials that can be used for student and instructor recruitment, promotional videos, meetings, presentations, and any other department functions and/or initiatives. Other responsibilities of this position include the following: coordinate and record interviews, record and organize stock footage, develop scripts for training videos and other department projects. Must also be able to operate camera equipment while flying in small aircraft and work well as a team member in a variety of environments, both indoors and outdoors.
The Flight Media Specialist will:
Develop and maintain flight course support material
Produce and support educational and promotional videos for the department.
Create new instructor pilot recurrency training and in-service training material
Develop and maintain all department websites and other web based initiatives
Collect, organize, and maintain a repository of department photos and videos that can be used for flight department projects
Provide guidance and support for department employees on how best to utilize multimedia content in their job tasks.
Help standardize the use of logos, presentation themes, department banners, posters, and other department media.
Assist in special department projects that require media content.
Other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but an Associate’s Degree in combination with experience in instructional design and photo/video editing will be considered.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ work related experience. The applicant should have significant experience with Instructional design method. The applicant must also possess analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with photo/video editing software tools. Adobe, Learning Management Systems, web design software, Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
