Assistant Director of Student Transitions and Family Engagement
St. Edward's University is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Director for the Student Transitions and Family Engagement program. This individual serves as a critical member of the Student Transitions and Family Engagement team to direct daily operations, planning, and implementation of new and existing First Year Experience (FYE) programs and operations, in collaboration with campus partners, with a primary focus on transition, engagement, and student success.
For consideration, a Master's degree in Student Affairs Administration or related field, one to two years of experience planning/executing activities and programs for students and family members in a college or university setting, and knowledge of higher education and student affairs functions, and student development theory. Preferred qualifications include previous oversight or supervision of first year experience programs and services, strong programming and project management skills, a commitment to serving a diverse group of students, effective communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with faculty and campus partners. Must possess an unencumbered driver's license and the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
