The Finance and Administration department within University Facilities is seeking an Office Assistant 2. In this role you will be responsible for processing overtime payroll for trades employees. Payroll will include holiday, meal and inconvenience pay. The nature of this position requires analytical thinking skills, the ability to enter and compare data to ensure employees are paid accurately. You must be able to research, and problem solve within given deadlines. Effective time management and ability to prioritize are essential as these deadlines are critical. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Entering payroll data
* Generating reports
* Verifying accurate approvals for overtime payroll
* Posting payroll to the general ledger
* Conducting payroll balancing
* Researching and processing inaccurate overtime payments
* Addressing and resolving billing inquires
* Supporting Accounts Receivable tasks
* Setting up customer accounts
* Other duties as assigned (i.e. Serving as back up for Trade Union payrolls)
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a good problem solver, detail orientated and self-motivated. You must have a demonstrated customer service experience as this position requires you to collaborate with many departments within and outside of Facilities.
