Research Contract Administrator, Pharmacy

The Center for Integrated Global Biomedical Sciences (CIGBS) is seeking a Research Contract Administrator. The CIGBS, conducts innovative research and fosters international collaborations in new areas of drug development. In addition, UB CIGBS has held a highly regarded NIH contract for global pharmacology laboratory quality assurance that has recently been renewed through 2029.
The Research Contract Administrator will help facilitate industry-sponsored research, technology transfer, clinical trials, and contracts awarded by the NIH and other federal funding agencies for CIGBS faculty. The Research Contract Administrator will contribute to the overall award process by serving as liaison on behalf of Center faculty and Office of Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships (BEP), Office of Sponsored Projects Services (SPS), Technical Transfer office (TTO), and the Clinical Research Office at the University of Buffalo.
The successful candidate will coordinate the development, preparation, and administration of contracts, bids, and proposals to meet outlined specifications and comply with all policies and regulations. Work collaboratively with the personnel in BEP, SPS, and TTO to ensure that awards comply with established University policies and procedures as well as conforming to federal, state, sponsor and university rules and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development, preparation, and administration of contracts, bids, and proposals to meet outlined specifications and comply with all policies and regulations
- Responsible for overall oversight and day-to-day oversight of assigned grants and contracts portfolio, financial administration and reporting requirements of grants/contracts
- Collaborate with the Office of Business and Entrepreneurial Partnerships, Sponsored Programs Services, and the Technical Transfer office personnel to ensure that proposal submissions are consistent with established University policies and procedures while conforming to sponsored guidelines and manage communications with these offices.
- Support contract negotiations with suppliers, partners, or customers and serve as liaison for the processing and review of teaming agreements, collaboration agreements, non-disclosure agreements, material transfer agreements, and other agreements as needed.
- Review contract terms to identify any potential risk or compliance issues.
- Other administrative support as necessary
