Drug addiction research group seeks a motivated Research Technician III to assist in performing behavioral and molecular experiments. The focus of our research is to understand how drugs of abuse and stress mediate plasticity in the brain. We use a multi-facetted approach from molecules to behavior.

Specific duties include:
* General lab management and maintenance.
* Small rodent surgery.
* Managing care of animals used in research.
* Observation and recording of animal behavior.
* Preparation of tissue samples, protein assays and PCR.
* Coordination, direction and training of students and technicians in lab techniques and procedures.
