Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Special Project Technical Support person for the Office of the Registrar at the Daytona Beach campus. This temporary position will have a duration of no longer than 9 months and will observe a 30 hour weekly work schedule. Due to the temporary status of this position, it is not eligible for benefits.

This position will provide technical support for the EAB Transfer Portal implementation and related business processes; partner with technical staff to update PeopleSoft Organization tables and develop employee training manuals for the EAB Transfer Portal solution; and create and maintain Daytona Beach’s transfer course equivalency tables in support of pre-applicant and ERAU’s current student population. The Special Project Technical Support person will partner with the Admissions transfer advisor to streamline processes associated with the EAB Transfer Portal and generate academic degree completion reports for pre-applicant students. Following established procedures, this position will perform a complete course by course evaluation of pre-applicant student academic records and communicate which portion of degree requirements will be satisfied by courses taken at previous institutions and what requirements remain to be completed at ERAU. The Special Project Technical Support person will inform potential students of ERAU’s degree requirements, regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities include the following:
Provides technical support for the EAB Transfer Portal implementation and related business processes. Updates PeopleSoft Organization tables to remove duplicates and make corrections as needed.
Partners with technical staff to streamline processes associated with the EAB Transfer Portal and evaluation of previously earned course credit and generation of degree completion report. Updates individual academic degree completion reports for pre-applicant student’s intended major, ensuring rules and policies are followed specific programs and catalogs.
Develops new employee training manuals for the EAB Transfer Portal solution.
Supports Admissions recruitment process by creating accurate course evaluations for pre-applicant students. Determines ERAU course equivalency and builds course equivalency rules in Campus Solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, organizational management, communication, or related field.
Minimum of 1-3 years of work related experience.
Initiative and excellent organizational skills; ability to work within a team or independently; ability to organize and prioritize work to be done.
Proficient in the use of a personal computer and experience with e-mail/internet, Microsoft applications and imaging systems.
General knowledge of accepted practices at other institutions; detailed knowledge of ERAU academic policies, procedures, standards and curricula.
Familiarity with non-traditional educational sources of college level advanced standing credit, such as the military guide from the American Council on Education and national exams such as CLEP and DANTES.
Experience in advising or student interaction; ability to troubleshoot student issues.
Familiar with the basic operations of the Office of Records and Registration and best practices in the industry.
May be required to work weekend/evening hours or during peak periods.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with various software solutions and/or with implementation of software solutions desired.
Previous experience with SIS Campus Solutions desired.
