The Clinical and Research Institute on Addictions (CRIA) is seeking a 50% effort Research Administrator to manage research administration activities for affiliated faculty. This is an advanced level administrative position who will provide support to pre and post award activities for affiliated faculty. The Research Administrator will work with the CRIA Director and other administrative staff to support grant funded research in addictions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advise and assist affiliated faculty and scientists with grant and/or subcontract proposals, which may include research development, review, editing and completion of various federal and non-federal packages. Act as liaison between the affiliated faculty and Sponsored Projects Services. Develop budgets and budget justifications which include proofing the budget for inconsistencies, ensuring accuracy with budgets, obtaining SPS review and approval.
  • Provide post award assistance to affiliated faculty including reconciliations; perform PI account reconciliations to ensure all personnel ePTF’s needed can continue to be covered by the award; monitor end dates for grants falling under your PI portfolio; track PI effort; coordinate with principal investigators to ensure compliance with grant guidelines and effect changes required; manage budget, reporting and compliance timelines through life cycle of the grant or contract.
  • Assist in the interpretation and application of policies related to research awards and sponsor requirements.
