Under the leadership of the Senior Director, the Manager will oversee the execution of strategies designed to elevate women's voices on campus and in the community, build the Research Institute public profile, and increase awareness through strategic marketing. A critical component of the role is identifying projects and opportunities that leverage collaborations between faculty, students, industry, and/or community, building and managing elements of these projects, and creating sustainable relationships between women-focused organizations and projects.
- Create and manage successful research institute programs including faculty-focused series/events/outreach, student-focused events/programs, and collaborations with industry and community.
- Elevate status of the Research Institute at the Women's Success Center by implementing strategic marketing plans with guidance from Inclusive Excellence MarComm leadership. (40%)
- Perform assessment by tracking relevant data, compiling information, and preparing reports. Supervise part-time employee(s), provide professional development and growth opportunities. Receives confidential and occasionally difficult personal information and makes appropriate referrals. (10%)
- Serve as a Women's Success Center ambassador at campus and community meetings, activities, and events. Oversee program budget. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelors degree from an accredited institution is required, plus two years experience related to the job description.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of planning, developing, and managing identity-based programs and promotional events.
Record management, organizing resources, establishing priorities, ethical and strategic fiscal management Detail oriented Strong knowledge of marketing and communications best practices. Basic knowledge of graphic design principles and applications including the Adobe Suite. Knowledge of lead generation, data analysis, and online and print advertising best practices. Knowledge of core marketing metrics. Demonstrated knowledge of best social media practices and digital marketing best practices and platforms. Knowledge and experience in organizing integrated promotional conversion strategies across diverse audience segments. Knowledge and experience identifying market and brand awareness weaknesses/deficiencies. Knowledge and experience and track record of managing and optimizing campaigns to meet campaign targets.
Communicating professionally, both verbally and in writing, excellent interpersonal communication. Demonstrated and versatile writing and editing skills. Managing meetings, group dynamics, and problem solving.
Skills in Office suite, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and other basic computer functions (email, internet, etc.)
Skills in building positive and productive interpersonal relationships and bringing disparate groups together.
Small and large group presentation. Excellent project management, organization, time-management, prioritization, and planning. Developing and managing budgets. Website management and CRM system implementation, on- and offline analytic tools, ability to research and analyze data, on- and off-line lead generation best practices.
Ability to work with broad range of internal and external stakeholders to build affinity with UVU and department mission.
Ability to work successfully in collaborations, working independently, with diverse groups of people, and with a variety of stakeholders and levels of responsibility.
Ability to understand institutional policies and procedures and make appropriate application.
Ability to think strategically. Ability to thrive under pressure. Demonstrated ability to assist in the design and layout of collateral materials. Ability to collaborate, build rapport and contribute to a positive team environment. Ability to analyze marketing data and digital analytics to guide decision making.
Marketing experience preferred
Moderate physical activity.
May require physical effort including lifting up to 25 pounds and some extended periods of standing or walking.
