The Engineering Management Program Coordinator will support the graduate academic functions of the Engineering Management Program of the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department. As such, the candidate will require strong inter-personal skills and a desire for engagement and support of all Engineering Management students. The candidate will work closely with students, department and university staff, the Engineering Management program director, and the department Chair, and report to the Director of Administration (DoA). The candidate will also develop and support information systems to carry out the academic and administrative functions of the Engineering Management Program.
Responsibilities will include:
- Student Support and Advisement: monitor academic progress of Engineering Management graduate students; provide group advisement on degree requirements; maintain Engineering management graduate student records; through posted office hours and email interact with current graduate students to address problems that will impede their academic progress; and contact faculty and/or UB Offices to resolve problems to academic progress in a timely manner. Review materials to ensure compliance with department/School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS)/UB policies/procedures and present to Director of Graduate Studies and Program Director for approval. Satisfy academic advisement report in HUB.
- Course Management and Support: support for student outcome assessment in digital/distance course, classroom/enrollment management, and support for new course and program proposals. Administer online/ digital courses and update as needed. Troubleshoot problems when they arise.
- Recruitment and Outreach: Liaise with SEAS graduate office on admissions and recruitment. Staff outreach and recruitment events as advised by Chair, Director of Administration, and Program Director
- Data Reporting and Projects: academic program data collection, management and reporting. Responsible for compiling reports and ad hoc projects as directed by Chair, Director of Administration, and Program Director.

Bachelors Degree and one year of experience in higher education administration.
Master’s Degree or 3 years’ experience in higher education administration.
Experience in SUNY systems/procedures strongly preferred. Three years of experience in an administrative position in an academic setting is desirable. Experience in digital and distance educational administration is highly desirable.
