The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office supports the vision and strategy of the Graduate Dean and strives to create an intellectually engaging experience for the graduate students. The office interacts with all administrative units that touch graduate students, including academic affairs, admissions, student affairs, and alumni development.


The Dean's Office oversees the admission of students to all graduate degree programs, awards scholarships, fellowships, and teaching assistantships in consultation with academic departments, and reviews academic standing and policies governing all graduate students in Arts and Sciences. The office also oversees curriculum changes across and development of new graduate programs, as well as develops and implements Academic and professional development programs for graduate students. 

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS), the Program Director of Post-Baccalaureate Programs directs Tufts post-baccalaureate programs in the School of Arts and Sciences, including providing strategic direction for the long-standing Tufts Pre-Health post-baccalaureate program. Working closely with the dean and the GSAS team, the Program Director will handle the below duties:

  • Research and develop new post-baccalaureate programs at the school beyond pre-health, as well as expanding opportunities for students in the pre-health area.
  • Collaborate closely with the Health Professions Advising team to connect the pre-health program and other post-baccalaureate programs with other division offices at Tufts such as Career Services, Graduate Admissions and Student Affairs to streamline processes and develop a resource model for post-baccalaureate students.
  • Cultivate relationships with other Tufts schools (e.g. Medical, Veterinary, Dental), as well as external institutions to further enhance existing programs.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership, Graduate Admissions, and the marketing and communications team on recruitment and retention activities for post-baccalaureate programs to ensure enrollment goals and program outcomes are achieved. 

What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:

  • Knowledge and skills as typically acquired by a Master’s degree in related discipline and 5-8 years' experience of program or project management experience

Pay Range

Minimum $102,400.00, Midpoint $128,050.00, Maximum $153,700.00

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
