The Office of the Vice Provost for International Education (VPIE) welcomes applications for the position of Project Staff Assistant for International Programs. The Project Staff Assistant for International Programs will be stationed at the University at Buffalo, and will provide administrative support to the University at Buffalo’s overseas programs.

As Project Staff Assistant for International Programs, you will be responsible for a wide variety of departmental personnel administration duties and you will serve as a liaison with University Human Resources.

Duties include those related to deploying personnel overseas for short-term and long-term assignments, such as preparing and disseminating specialized informational materials, coordinating employee pre-departure and reentry activities, helping prepare international employment requests, coordinating compliance with a complex combination of local and international regulations, and serving as a liaison between the department, the employees, and the international partner.

Other duties include financial management responsibilities such as preparing budgets, reconciling expenses, compiling statistics and preparing reports.

The Project Staff Assistant for International Programs will have a wide range of other administrative duties, including providing purchasing and reimbursement support, managing travel-related transactions, and scheduling and supporting meetings and special events.

Responsibilities will also involve supporting special projects, such as working with colleagues on process improvement changes, helping coordinate the implementation of new systems and procedures, and assisting with best practice research.
