Position Summary:

The Technology Solutions Partner 2 (TSP), individually and as part of a team of TSPs, serves as the primary ITS liaison, technology service representative, and technical advisor for a specified region of a UI campus(es) and must be responsive, effective, and efficient in communicating with University of Idaho faculty, staff, and students regarding the use of information technology resources. The TSP 2 gains and maintains knowledge of the business unit functions within their assigned region to consult and collaborate with UI employees and affiliates in providing information technology solutions that comply with ITS standards and meet operational needs of customers to assist them with attaining their goals in support of the UI Strategic Plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree and 2+ years of experience in an information technology field OR a combination of relevant education and information technology experience totaling (four) 4+ years.
Knowledge of modern computer technology, including common devices, common software applications, Windows and Macintosh operating systems, and switched virtual networks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in an information technology field and 3+ years of experience in technology support or 5+ years of experience in complex consulting/problem solving position(s).
Advanced knowledge of modern computing equipment.
Experience in customer service demonstrating skills in listening/reading for understanding, professionalism, collaboration, advocacy, objectivity, diligence, and flexibility.
Experience utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Experience in communicating verbally and in writing.
Experience in IT consulting or advanced experience in customer service.
Possess a valid drivers license and able to successfully pass a drivers record check.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves information technology equipment weighing up to 50 pounds indoors and outdoors.
Ability to traverse between buildings, floors within buildings, ladders, and crawl or maneuver in tight places.
